This summer, students in grades 7-12 are invited to take part in an inclusive program to reach youth on the Autism Spectrum through the dramatic arts. Youth on the Autism Spectrum will work with other students to create an original theater production, loosely based on Shakespeare’s comedy, Twelfth Night. Students will have a chance to get involved with all aspects of a theater production including theater basics, writing a script, acting, set design, props, costumes, and more!
Camp sessions will take place the four Saturdays in June (5, 12, 19, 26) from 9 am – 12 pm at State Street Theater Co. A cumulative performance will take place at intermission of the 7 pm play, Twelfth Night, during Shakespeare in the Park at the German Park amphitheater on Saturday, June 26. The rain site for this performance is State Street Theater Co.
There is NO COST for students to take part in Billy and the Kids! For more information or to register, contact Michael at firstname.lastname@example.org or 507-240-0869
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
